Living Room 1
The introduction of the deep rust coloured paint in this room bought to life the existing furnishings. It is dramatic at night and bright during daylight.

Living Room 2
This living room was transformed from drab and smelly to fabulous and clean. The existing carpet and ‘wood-panelled’ wallpaper were removed and everything painted white. The use of classic modern black or white leather furniture combines with bold colours of accessories to create a dramatic and stylish living space.

Living Room 3
The architecture of this home is very interesting. The client described it as a Ski Chalet. Nothing needed to happen to the physical space, but the existing country-cottage inspired furniture and curtains all had to go. Working within a very tight budget the living space was transformed with the addition of two large contemporary sofas in a deep rust colour, white occasional furniture, window seat cushions and large, thick floor rugs. All that is needed now is an open fire place and snow.

Living Room 4
This grouping of objects is adjacent to the entry door of this apartment and is a focal point in itself. The classic black leather and chrome Barcelona chair and black and chrome side table are given an injection of colour with the yellows of the Kartel magazine rack, ceramic lamp and the large painting by Belinda Wilson.

Living Room 5
This room had good proportions but was dark and dated. The owners were about to put the house on the market and as this room was the first space to be seen when entering, it was vital to make a good impression. The cream and pastel green theme was replaced with bright white walls, light fittings and furniture and a dark coffee coloured carpet.

Living Room 6
The design work on this room incorporated changing furniture and its placement, moving artwork, and repainting. This room, the front room of a row cottage, was not a welcoming room with its non-matching furniture and confused functionality. The use of mainly existing furniture and furnishings combined with the new paint scheme transformed this space to a much more elegant and useful lounge room.

Living Room 7
The clients had very little furniture as they had only recently relocated from overseas. The addition of comfortable seating, lush floor rugs, cushions and window treatments transformed this room to be a preferred hub all members of this home.

Living Room 8
While this apartment featured a fantastic outlook, the original 70s layout with lots of tiny separate rooms did little to address this. Total renovation was required and most of the internal walls and all existing fixtures and fittings were removed in the process. The previous residents' grey and cream colour scheme was replaced with dramatic white and charcoal, the concrete floors were ground and polished and the windows left uncovered to appreciate the views both day and night. The furniture and furnishings selected reflect the client's love of modern design and colour.
